Connections
The address book used to send gift cards and invite collaborators.
Updated August 5, 2026
Connections is your private address book of people you can send gifts to or invite into a planning thread. The page lives at /redeem/connections and is reachable from the Connections entry in the sidebar.
A connection is a lightweight record. There's no sign-in, no shared wallet, no notification to the other person until you actually use the connection in a gift or invite. It's an autocomplete list, nothing more.
When connections are used
Connections power three places in the app:
| Where | What they do |
|---|---|
| Send a gift card | The recipient step searches your connections by name or email. |
| Inquiry invitations | The Invite People to Join card autocompletes from connections. |
| Custom Experience and Request a Product | When a flow asks who else should be on the booking, your connections list appears as suggestions. |
The Connections page

The page has three controls:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Add connection | Opens a modal to enter a new person manually. |
| Search | Filters the visible list by name or email. Useful once you have more than a dozen connections. |
| Connection list | Each row shows name, email, and a per-row menu for Edit and Remove. |
Adding a connection
Adding directly from the Connections page asks for the same fields as adding from the Send a gift recipient step:
- First name
- Last name
- Email (the only required field, used for delivery)
- Phone (optional)
Connections are de-duplicated by email. If you try to add someone who already exists, the existing record is updated rather than a duplicate created.
Editing or removing a connection
Each row has a menu with Edit and Remove. Editing updates the record; future gifts to that person use the new email or name. Removing deletes the record; in-flight gifts already sent to that email are unaffected.
What connections do not do
Adding someone as a connection does not:
- Send them an email or notification
- Give them access to your wallet, gift cards, or activity
- Create a Mojo Gift account on their behalf
The other person only finds out about the connection if you actively send them a gift or invite them into a thread.
What's next
- Send a gift card is the most common use of a connection.
- Inquiry invitations explains how to add someone as a collaborator on a planning thread.
